How to Make Tunisian Harissa

Ingredients
- One kilogram of boneless chicken, beef, or mutton
- One cup of soaked green lentil
- One cup of soaked wheat grain
- A half cup of soaked rice
- Two large onions – sliced
- One pod of skinless garlic
- Eight chopped green chilies
- Three teaspoons of red chili powder
- One teaspoon of crushed black pepper
- Two teaspoons of dry coriander powder
- One teaspoon of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Some water
- For mini kebabs, you will need the following ingredients
- A half kilogram of minced chicken or beef
- Two teaspoons of red chili powder
- One teaspoon of cumin powder
- One teaspoon of salt
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cook green lentils, meat, onion, garlic, green chilies, crushed black pepper, and red chili powder in a skillet
- Add coriander powder, three glasses of water, and turmeric powder to the skillet
- Continue cooking until the meat is soft or tender
- Add rice to another skillet
- Now add four glasses of water and wheat grain to the skillet
- Cook until wheat grains are tender
- Next, mix grains in the meat mixture and grin to make a coarse mixture
- Put all the ground mixture in a large skillet
- Cover the skillet and cook over a medium-high heat
