How To Make Houria

Ingredients

  • One pound of peeled and sliced carrots
  • Two tablespoons of olive oil
  • Two cloves of finely chopped garlic
  • A half teaspoon of salt
  • One teaspoon of ground caraway
  • A half teaspoon of harissa
  • Three tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • Two tablespoons of lemon juice
  • Two ounces of black olives
  • Four ounces of tuna in vegetable oil – this is optional
  • Two hard-boiled eggs – make sure you cut them into wedges
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Simmer the carrots for 5-10 minutes in salted water
  2. Now drain the water and set aside
  3. Use a frying pan to heat the olive oil
  4. Set the temperature to medium heat
  5. Add harissa, carrots, salt, garlic, and caraway
  6. Cook these ingredients for 3-5 minutes
  7. Mix in parsley and then remove from heat
  8. Transfer the dish to the serving bowl
  9. Use lemon juice and pepper for garnishing
  10. Top with sliced eggs, tuna, and olives
